What is involved?
SleepLife is a longitudinal study in which researchers will follow participants for up to 3 years to collect data on their sleep patterns and emotional health. All study measures are designed to be completed from home via Zoom, however visits can also be done in person.
Participants will complete:
A consent and eligibility assessment
A member of the research team will review parent consent and youth assent forms with you. If you agree to participate, we will complete a brief interview and surveys to confirm eligibility
An onboarding session
After eligibility is confirmed, we will send you sleep monitoring devices and meet with you to review how to complete home sleep tracking. You will also fill out online surveys about sleep and health.
Two weeks of baseline sleep tracking
Right after the onboarding session, you will start tracking your sleep for 2 weeks (14 days) using a sleep log, a wrist activity monitor, sleep recording device, and a mobile app (if you have a mobile phone)
Survey follow-ups every six months and sleep tracking follow-ups every year
You will be invited to complete online surveys every 6 months and repeat sleep tracking each year, for up to 3 years.
