Dr. Adriane Soehner, PhD

Dr. Soehner is the Contact PI and Pittsburgh Site M-PI on the Pediatric Precision Sleep Network. She is an Associate Professor and the Faculty Director of the Office of Data Management in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry. She directs the Sleep, Affective Neuroscience and Development Lab in Western Psychiatric Hospital and is affiliated with the Center for Sleep and Circadian Science and Mood Disorders Collaborative.

Dr. Soehner is a clinical psychologist who uses a developmental affective neuroscience framework to investigate the role of sleep-circadian processes in the onset, course, and treatment of mood disorders. Her research has been funded by the NIMH, NHLBI, NIDA, the Department of Defense, Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation, and the University of Pittsburgh Clinical and Translational Research Institute. Her work incorporates diverse sleep-circadian, neuroimaging, and high-dimensional modeling methods in large, harmonized cohorts; naturalistic prospective studies; human chronobiology protocols; manipulations of sleep, circadian rhythms, and light at home and in the laboratory; and intervention trials.
